Fatima Group is hiring a Biomass Fuel Manager to oversee and optimize biomass fuel operations for their power plants. This is a senior-level position that requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership, and experience in the biomass or energy sector.
Job Overview:
The Biomass Fuel Manager will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of high-quality biomass fuel for the power plant, overseeing its procurement, storage, handling, and transportation. The role also involves managing fuel supply logistics, quality assurance, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Annual Fuel Supply Plans: Develop and implement comprehensive biomass fuel supply plans to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted fuel supply to the plant while optimizing costs.
- Biomass Collection Centers: Establish and manage biomass collection centers to procure fuel directly from the field, minimizing reliance on third-party intermediaries.
- Safe Fuel Handling: Oversee the safe receiving, storage, and handling of biomass at all storage centers, coordinating transportation to the plant based on operational demand.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistent quality and accurate quantity of biomass stored at all facilities by conducting regular inspections and taking representative samples.
- Compliance & Standards: Maintain the receiving, inspection, and storage processes at the power plant in line with environmental and safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of fuel quantities received, stored, and consumed, ensuring timely reporting and data integrity.
Key Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Business or Agriculture graduate.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a similar role related to biomass fuel management or energy.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of biomass fuel operations, fuel supply chains, and power plant fuel management systems.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience in overseeing logistics and operations.
- Communication: Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage internal teams and external suppliers.
