Established in 1989 Sana Safinaz, founded by Sana Hashwani and Safinaz Muneer, is an established fashion label and one of the most prestigious and diversified in Pakistan. Partners and sister’s-in-law Sana and Safinaz are the driving force behind the label which is an all-encompassing life-style brand. Apparel collections include but are not limited to Pret, Diffusion and Bridal Couture lines. Included on the apparel side is the brand’s latest venture in retail. Position: AM Product Development Merchandiser (Women’s Wear)
Job Description: As an Assistant Manager (AM) of Product Development Merchandising at Sana Safinaz, you will be a crucial link between our design and production teams, ensuring the seamless creation of high-quality women’s wear. Your role will involve creating detailed tech-packs, collaborating closely with the design department, managing product development and costing, and upholding the highest standards of fabric quality, printing, embroidery, and finished garments. You will lead the development of pre-production samples, obtaining design department approvals and coordinating across production, sourcing, and design departments.
Job Specifications:
- Prepare comprehensive tech-packs for production purposes.
- Collaborate effectively with the design department to translate concepts into tangible products.
- Manage the entire product development process, including costing and quality control.
- Oversee the quality of fabrics, printing, embroidery, and finished garments to meet set standards.
- Lead the creation and approval of pre-production samples.
- Coordinate and communicate seamlessly with production, sourcing, and design teams for approvals.
Job Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering (BS/BE) in Textile.
- Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in Women’s Apparel product development and merchandising.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric quality, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within a dynamic team.
