⚡ Position Details

🎯 Role Overview

The Incharge E&I-RM will oversee all electrical, instrumentation, automation, and maintenance activities in the Rolling Mill (RM) section. This includes managing Primetals technology, ensuring smooth functioning of PLC systems, handling drive systems, monitoring utilities, and executing maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and plant efficiency.

This role requires hands-on technical expertise + leadership abilities to manage teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure operational excellence.

✅ What We’re Looking For (Key Requirements)

To succeed in this role, you should bring strong industrial and technical background in the following:

🔹 1. Technology & Instrumentation Expertise

• Hands-on experience with Primetal Technology (a MUST)

• Knowledge of IBA analysis systems

• Proficiency with mill instruments and diagnostic tools

• Strong understanding of temperature, pressure, and speed sensors

🔹 2. Automation & Control Systems

• Experience with ABB PLC & Drive Systems

• Ability to troubleshoot automation faults

• Programming and logic modifications (preferable)

• Understanding of SCADA / HMI systems

🔹 3. Power Systems & Electrical Equipment

• Knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) & Medium Voltage (MV) panels

• Experience with transformers and induction heaters

• Exposure to solar power projects

• Strong background in utilities systems

• Experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance

• Equipment health monitoring and reliability improvements

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

As Incharge E&I-RM, you will be responsible for:

1. Rolling Mill Operation Support

• Ensure efficient operation of electrical and instrumentation systems in the rolling mill.

• Monitor performance of motors, drives, heaters, control panels, and instrumentation.

2. Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance

• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/instrumentation issues.

• Conduct calibration, testing, and diagnostics.

3. Automation & Control Optimization

• Work with ABB PLCs and drive systems to maintain smooth production.

• Modify logic and settings if required for optimal performance.

• Utilize IBA analysis for fault detection.

4. Project Management & Upgrades

• Lead system upgrades and modernization projects.

• Support solar and energy efficiency initiatives.

• Collaborate with OEMs and engineering contractors.

5. Utilities & Safety Compliance

• Manage utilities such as power distribution, heating, cooling, and backup systems.

• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and safety standards.

• Enforce electrical safety protocols.

6. Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise workshop and plant teams.
