Role Overview

As the Assistant Manager – Internal Audit, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas. You will evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identify risks, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks. Your role will also involve preparing detailed audit reports, following up on audit findings, and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Planning & Risk Assessment: Assist in developing audit plans and risk assessments to ensure comprehensive audit coverage.
• Conduct Internal Audits: Perform audits of financial, operational, and compliance areas, assessing internal controls and operational efficiency.
• Data Analysis: Use data analysis to identify trends, irregularities, and potential risks. Utilize ERP and accounting systems (e.g., SAP) to extract and analyze data.
• Audit Reporting: Document audit procedures, findings, and prepare detailed audit reports. Report significant findings to top management on a regular basis.
• Follow-up on Audit Recommendations: Ensure the timely implementation of audit recommendations and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with department heads during audit processes and ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Continual Learning & Improvement: Stay updated on industry practices, internal control standards, and audit techniques.

Key Requirements

• Education: ACCA qualified or equivalent qualification in a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in audit or internal controls, preferably from a reputed audit firm or large organization.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently for audit assignments.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory frameworks.
