Key Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Executive at 14th Street Pizza Co., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company’s financial activities. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Bank and Vendor Reconciliation: You will be responsible for reconciling the bank and vendor accounts, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Cheque Payments: Process and manage cheque payments in alignment with the company’s budget and applicable tax laws.
• Payment Handling: Oversee payments for website orders and cash collections to maintain accurate financial records.
• Monthly Closings and Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly financial closings and contribute to the preparation of financial reports.
• Periodic Audits: Conduct regular audits of cash and stock across various locations including the warehouse, commissary, and outlets.

Required Skills:

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have:

• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders.
• MS Office Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Excel is required, along with a good working knowledge of other MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of Tax Regulations: A sound understanding of withholding tax and SRB regulations.
• Accounting Knowledge: A basic understanding of IFRS and IAS is highly desirable, with the ability to apply these in day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, with preference for experience in the food industry.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and knowledge of accounting software.
