Role Overview:
The WIP Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all work-in-progress inventory across the company’s production lines. This position requires a highly skilled professional with strong experience in textile production, inventory management, and operations. The WIP Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products through the production process, optimizing efficiency, and minimizing delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work-In-Progress Management:
- Supervise and monitor the flow of materials and products at various stages of the production process.
- Ensure timely completion of production stages and minimize delays or bottlenecks in the system.
- Inventory Control:
- Manage WIP inventory levels, ensuring that there is an adequate supply of materials for production.
- Coordinate with production teams to forecast material needs and prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Quality and Process Improvement:
- Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that WIP items meet the company’s high-quality standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with teams to implement changes.
- Team Coordination:
- Lead and coordinate with production, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Key Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant education in a field related to textile management or operations.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably within the textile industry.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of textile production and inventory management systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
