Role Overview:
The Financial Controller will play a central role in the company’s journey from stability to exponential growth. This hands-on position is key in leading financial transformations by upgrading systems, optimizing tax strategies, enhancing corporate structures, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Control & Reporting:
- Strengthen internal processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and readiness for audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal controls.
- Tax & Corporate Structuring:
- Support strategic tax planning, leveraging legal tax incentives and assisting with international tax matters.
- Monitor legal and compliance frameworks, optimizing corporate structures for better financial performance.
- System Enhancements & Automation:
- Champion automation efforts and drive the implementation of AI-driven reporting tools.
- Work on SAP enhancements to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Treasury & Risk Management:
- Oversee treasury operations, manage banking relationships, and mitigate financial risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with leadership and key departments to improve profitability and guide strategic planning for the business.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, costing, and financial modeling.
- Expertise in taxation, including direct, indirect, and international tax.
- Familiarity with AI-driven tools, dashboards, and data visualization.
- In-depth understanding of cash flow management, loan optimization, and working capital cycles.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: ACA/FCA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years in relevant financial roles, with at least 3-5 years as a Financial Controller or in a similar capacity.
- Mindset: Hands-on, execution-focused, with a strong problem-solving approach.
- Skills: Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ethics & Leadership: Ethical, reliable, and a natural team builder with a growth mindset. Ability to adapt and thrive in both structured and evolving environments.
