Airblue, one of the leading airlines in Pakistan, is looking to hire a Assistant Fleet Management professional for their Corporate Headquarters in Islamabad. This entry-level position is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience in supply chain management or logistics, providing an excellent opportunity to start a career in fleet management and the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Fleet Management, you will be involved in a variety of tasks related to managing the fleet of aircraft and ensuring that they are in optimal condition. Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising Purchase Orders: Creating purchase orders to different vendors based on the best possible quotes.
- Request for Quotations (RFQs): Circulating RFQs to vendors to compare prices and lead times.
- Shipment Coordination: Managing shipments through freight forwarders and couriers until delivery in stores.
- Aircraft Component Repairs: Monitoring the repair and maintenance of aircraft components, including engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), wheels, brakes, and other critical parts.
- Shift Work: Willingness to work on a shift basis to ensure the smooth running of fleet operations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments for efficient fleet management and timely repairs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Experience: Fresh graduates or those with up to 1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Skills:
- Strong coordination and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of fleet operations and supply chain management is a plus.
