Key Responsibilities:

As the Deputy General Manager – Engineering, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing the engineering and maintenance functions within the facility. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Plant Engineering and Maintenance Management:
   • Oversee the engineering, utilities, maintenance, and engineering project teams to ensure seamless plant performance.
   • Drive energy conservation and cost-efficiency initiatives.
2. Utility Services Management:
   • Ensure uninterrupted utility services, including power, steam, HVAC, compressors, and water treatment plants.
3. Maintenance Schedule Development:
   • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to ensure minimal downtime.
4. Project Management:
   • Oversee installation, repair, and upgrade of textile machinery and infrastructure.
   • Manage and oversee engineering projects, including capacity expansions and automation.
5. Budget and Cost Control:
   • Manage and control budgets for engineering operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
   • Mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To qualify for this role, the ideal candidate should have:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Experience:
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in engineering, preferably within the textile sector.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in managing teams and driving engineering projects.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of utilities management and proven expertise in maintenance systems and practices.
  • Excellent communication, team management, and leadership skills.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving capabilities.
