The National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), Islamabad Campus, is inviting applications for part-time positions in a groundbreaking 1-year research project titled “Mosquito Type Detection Using Computer Vision for Pakistani Regions.”

Available Positions
1. Research Assistant
Qualification
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Expertise in computer vision and image processing.
- Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Solid academic research and technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with tools like LaTeX, Python, or R for data analysis.
2. Junior Software Engineer
Qualification
- BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
- Final-year BS students are also encouraged to apply.
Skills and Experience Required
- Programming skills in JavaScript, Python, R, or Java.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Understanding of version control tools such as Git.
- Experience developing user-friendly web or mobile interfaces.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and REST APIs.
- Eagerness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment.
