Nishat Chunian Ltd. invites talented individuals to apply for the position of Assistant Manager Operations – Shift Engineer within our esteemed Power Plant department. This role promises a dynamic environment where you will monitor, control, and supervise operational activities, ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of our coal-based power plant.
Job Overview:
As an Assistant Manager Operations – Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our coal power plant. This includes monitoring plant activities, performing root cause analysis of incidents, and preparing maintenance schedules for planned shutdowns. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the safe startup, operation, and shutdown of the plant according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, control, and supervise operational activities within the coal power plant.
- Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Plan and prepare maintenance jobs lists for scheduled shutdowns.
- Ensure safe startup, operation, and shutdown of the plant in adherence to SOPs.
- Respond to and manage emergency incidents to ensure human, equipment, and process safety.
- Oversee equipment during maintenance activities and issue Permit to Work (PTW) where required.
- Assess, train, and develop operations/training staff to enhance team capabilities.
Person Specifications:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a coal-based power plant environment.
- BSc in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Prior working knowledge of first-class boilers would be advantageous.
Location:
The position is based at our site located 49km along Multan Road, Bhai Pheru.
