Position Overview: The role of a Maintenance Engineer at Engro Fertilizers Daharki Plant is dynamic and vital to the seamless operation of the plant. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficient functioning of the plant’s equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and ensure a zero-recordable injuries environment through proactive safety measures.
- Foster a culture of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) awareness to enhance sectional performance.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for routine, shutdown, and special project jobs.
- Execute mandatory safety audits as per site HSE guidelines and address action items.
- Play an active role in preparing for site HSE audits and address any arising concerns.
- Contribute to Injury Prevention Plan recommendations and execute necessary actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure area housekeeping and compliance with health risk assessment recommendations.
- Take part in assigned Process Safety Management (PSM), Equipment Safety Management (ESM), Operator Handling Instructions for Hazards (OHIH), and safety training.
- Participate in routine safety audits, Job Cycle Checks, and the D-Level safety forum.
- Ensure minimal plant downtime due to maintenance issues and compliance with established Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans.
- Maintain comprehensive equipment history and maintenance records for seamless operations.
- Support the engineering team in conducting reliability surveys and achieving production targets.
- Resolve chronic area issues and implement improvements in existing systems and processes.
- Manage critical spares inventory and ensure availability through effective inventory management.
- Plan, prepare, and execute turnaround jobs with safety and quality adherence.
- Oversee maintenance budget development and control expenditure to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Provide coaching and counseling to team members, and participate in real-time troubleshooting.
